Who they are

Conscious Skincare was founded in 2010 by Rebecca Martin in West Wales, born from a deeply personal need. Struggling with severe dry skin caused by hypothyroidism — and finding that even natural and organic products on the market simply weren’t rich enough — Rebecca set out to create something better. When her husband Quentin later suffered a serious allergic reaction to mainstream skincare, their commitment to clean, transparent ingredients became the heart of everything they do.

Since 2011, Rebecca and Quentin have been designing, creating and hand-making all their multi award-winning organic products from their rural retreat on the beautiful west coast of Wales. The land and seascape there inspires every unique and natural blend they craft.

Every product is created and handcrafted entirely in-house, using the highest quality natural and organic ingredients — from ethically sourced Fair Trade Shea Butter to cold-pressed botanical oils. Every ingredient is chosen because it can genuinely help your skin, hands, hair or face. No added colour, no synthetic fragrance — just the natural hues and delicate aromas of their essential oil blends.

Their craft & ethos

Conscious Skincare is built on the belief that what goes on your skin should be as carefully considered as what goes in your body. Their range is certified cruelty-free by PETA, fully vegan, palm oil free, and holds an outstanding 98/100 ethical rating from The Good Shopping Guide — recognised for their respect for the environment, animals and people.

Their respect for nature extends to every part of the business. They support a fair trade co-operative in India whose work has enabled women to escape the poverty trap — these individuals handmake the branded bags for Conscious Skincare’s Facial and Travel Kits, lining each one with recycled sarees, making every bag as individual as the women who made it. Orders are wrapped and shipped with love in recycled card and boxes.

Over 15 years, their standards have earned the trust of some remarkable partners: The Royal Ballet, The National Trust and Westminster Abbey. Their products have won numerous awards, including multiple Janey Loves Platinum Awards — a testament to the quality and care that goes into every formulation.
